#1 Summit Goliath SD Climbing Tree Stand Review
SU81119 Goliath SD Climbing Treestand, Mossy Oak
The Summit Goliath Tree Stand weighs in at 21 lbs and offers ultimate portability. It is designed for the larger hunter (Big Man Stand) by providing a little more room. The Closed-front Bar and ease of use also provides extra safety for the older hunter such as myself. It comes with a Suspended foam-padded seat and the stand is rated for 350 lbs. (5 Year Warranty)
Recommendation
Summit Goliath SD offers ultimate portability, is rated for the larger hunter, adds more room for comfort, and puts the older hunter to ease with the Close-front Bar. The use of rubber coated cables gives added security to the stand. The stand is very easy to assemble and is rated for 350 lbs. We have not found a better stand! $317.86
#2 Lone Wolf Sit & Climb Tree Stand Review
The Lone Wolf Wide Sit & Climb Combo II Climbing Tree Stand
The Lone Wolf Sit and Climb Tree Stand weighs in at 21 lbs, packs down to a 4” profile and is very comfortable when porting. This tree stand offers all day sitting comfort without sacrificing performance, durability, or strength. The pivoting sit & climb bar provides easy climbing and the platform is as solid as it gets (constructed out of one solid piece of Cast Aluminum with no welds)
Recommendation
The Lone Wolf Sit & Climb is an excellent stand, but it rates as our number two. The stand offers ultimate portability, comfort, and quietness, so why number two? The climbing/sitting pivot bar requires you to step out of it when you’re ready to sit. This may not be an issue for the average hunter, but the larger and older hunter may find this a bit uneasy. Otherwise this is an excellent climbing deer stand and well worth the price. $392.94
#3 Summit 180 Max Climbing Tree Stand Review
Summit 180 Max SD Climbing Tree Stand, Mossy Oak
The Summit 180 Max weighs in at 23 lbs and offers the extra room for the larger and taller hunter. The platform shares the larger Titan platform and is constructed with precision welded aluminum. What’s unique is the flexible Surround Seat, which allows the hunter to sit facing the tree in those cases where you wished you could.

The Summit 180 Max SD Climbing Treestand makes our top 3 for the best climbing tree stands on the market. The stand offers portability, durability, sturdiness, comes with a Close front Bar & rubber coated cables for added security, and allows the hunter to hunt facing the tree, which is a benefit I really like and take advantage of. The stand is very easy to assemble, easy to place on to your tree, and is rated for 350 lbs. $372.94
